The BWE2 Flute and Clarinet Choir is a dynamic and friendly ensemble of of twenty four adult players under the musical direction of David Morris. BWE2 was formed in January 2010 under the guidance of Bloomsbury Woodwind Ensemble, and the two groups maintain a close association.
BWE2 meets on Monday evenings in the church of St Katharine Cree in the City of London. The group is non-auditioned, with roles for players of a range of standards. All share a passion for music-making and a commitment to weekly rehearsals.
Our repertoire includes works composed over more than four hundred years and in a notably wide range of styles. In its short life, BWE2 has premiered almost a dozen new arrangements and two new compositions.
Through 2011, BWE2 has planned several performances, both inside and out, including our summer highlight, a concert on the theme of London, shared with Bloomsbury Woodwind Ensemble.
